Active Aging Week: Cruising Into Wellness During Active Aging Week, Masonic Village at Elizabethtown invited residents to set sail to some of the globe’s most impressive port locations, including Hawaii, Greece and Australia, to name a few. At each “destination,” residents explored the seven dimensions of wellness: physical, emotional, environmental, intellectual, spiritual, social and vocational, earning passport stamps along the way and the chance to earn prizes. After a tasty kick-off with globally-inspired food, music and refreshments, the week’s events included the Harvest Hustle, a 3-mile community walk/run; a “Waves of Relaxation” sound bath meditation with a vibrational sound therapist; an “Ignite Your Interests” club expo highlighting opportunities across campus; and a presentation from a local conservancy on the importance of land protection and native habitats. “Active Aging Week is a chance to shine a spotlight on what we encourage our residents to do all year long – prioritize their whole-person wellness,” Brigid Murphy, wellness specialist, said. “How each of us does that is different, but it centers on continuing to learn and try new things; nourishing our mind, body and spirit; and staying connected to family, friends and community. We're already counting down for Active Aging Week 2026!”
