What is the Active Aging Week Spirit Award, and how can my organization win it?

The Active Aging Week Spirit Award is an opportunity for your organization to showcase its active aging event to the world. By submitting up to five photographs that challenge perceptions of aging, along with a short success story, your organization can gain industry recognition and be featured in the Journal on Active Aging. Additionally, you'll receive prepared marketing materials such as a press release and preformatted social media announcements to help with outreach efforts.

Judges will select the images that best capture the spirit of Active Aging Week, and winners will be announced after the submission period, which runs from September 22 to November 15, 2023. To apply, your organization must be a registered official host site and submit photographs, and a short success story.

By entering the competition, your organization retains the copyright of all submitted images and descriptions, but grants the ICAA and Humana a non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable license to publish the images for any purpose directly connected with the competition, including display on their websites and social media and for marketing and communication purposes. The Active Aging Week Spirit Award provides a great opportunity for your organization to showcase its success story and inspire others in the industry.
