Stoneridge Creek redefined Active Aging Week with “Friendships Thrive in 25,” a celebration transforming friendship into a catalyst for whole-person wellness. Over 350 residents took part in a week blending creativity, culture, movement, and purpose—designed not just for residents, but with them. With the “Rewrite Your Stories, Reignite Your Life” lecture, residents were inspired to embrace new adventures. Each day sparked connection and vitality: Sunrise Yoga with live harp music, a guided nature walk exploring native plants and environmental balance, and the “Art of Friendship Retreat,” led by retired resident therapists and featuring a brain-healthy lunch poolside highlighting the importance of nutrition in the active aging lifestyle. Resident Fitness Buddies led movement through pickleball, table tennis, line dance, and Tai Chi, while cultural wellness came alive in the Won Ton Cooking and Folding Demo. The week concluded with the Resident Cookbook release, celebrating the shared ingredients of friendship and purpose. Departments worked hand in hand with residents, demonstrating that engagement thrives through collaboration. Residents shared that helping plan events reignited their enthusiasm and strengthened their sense of belonging. Stoneridge Creek proved that when residents contribute, friendship flourishes—and wellness becomes a shared way of life.
