Tell us what you did during Active Aging Week to redefine the term "Active."

Roland Park Place celebrated Active Aging Week 2025 with the inspiring theme “Active Evolution: Every Decade Has Its Moves.” Each day highlighted a signature fitness trend through the decades—Zumba, Seated Tae-Bo, Glow Cardio Drumming, Jane Fonda-style aerobics, and Jazzercise—showcasing how movement evolves, yet the joy of staying active together remains timeless. Our community spirit shines brightly in Glow Bocce, where residents and associates teamed up under the lights as part of Roland Park Place’s long-standing Bocce Team "La Bocce Vita" — connected to Baltimore City VOLO League comprised of many teams in our Baltimore City neighborhoods. The week’s Healthy Happy Hour became a disco-themed celebration, complete with line dancing, mock-tails, and a lively mystery game that brought out everyone’s playful side. We were also honored to collaborate with resident Dr. Henry Chen, a retired physicist and pianist, who provided live piano accompaniment for Cozy Yoga Deluxe—a luxurious session blending movement, music, and mindful restoration. Throughout the week, our Wellness in One Word photo booth project invited residents and associates to capture what active living means to them, creating a collective portrait of our evolving wellness journey. At Roland Park Place, Active Aging Week truly embodies Active Evolution—fun, connected, and full of RPP spirit.
