Tell us what you did during Active Aging Week to redefine the term "Active."

Fit In Boonsboro. Throughout the week we enjoyed a variety of activities, including a community building lunch at our town's park, walks, and specialty classes. After all the preparations were made, and decorations were hung, we started the week off with a kick-off breakfast and distributed weekly schedules and information. Presentations were held on topics of nutrition as we age, functionally ageless fitness and health practices. We also held a well attended, and first ever (for our gym), book club featuring The Well-Lived Life as our read. A Health & Wellness Fair was also a popular event that featured information booths from our local commission on aging, senior center, hospital, and nutrition experts. Three separate outdoor walks were held to include as many participants as possible, including our service walk where we collected trash around town. Specialty classes included Active Aging Yoga & Meditation, barefoot balance, pelvic balance workshop, and Strength & Movement for all ages. We also included open talk to a trainer hours in our schedule. A feedback request form & QR code was made available to all participants.
