Tell us what you did during Active Aging Week to redefine the term "Active."
We offered a variety of activities to everyone in our community from ages 2 to 102. We kicked off the week with an art project. We painted 160 tiles and arranged them in a huge mural, each tile was decorated with what makes you happy. Our week has a virtual walk to the moon and will last until the end of the month, of course, steps are earned by a variety of activities not just physically, but acts including all the dimensions of wellness. We offered a beginners Tai Chi, Beats (cardio drumming), Scavenger Hunt, Aqua Yoga, Belly Dancing, Interest Fair (sign up for new activities), Laughter Yoga with our Child Development Center, and Sunset Yoga.
