Tell us what you did during Active Aging Week to redefine the term "Active."
We provide avid sports lover Danny the chance to play softball, participate in tossing games and did an "I Can Do It' Outreach program which gives him an opportunity to be proud of himself, a great gestures to raise sporting awareness for kids at an early stage thriving within a positive team environment that provides a safe place to get physically active. We sent one of our resident Jim to experience once again how to do the actual cycling at the gym who used to be a cyclist and likes to be physically fit all the time. Staying Clean and Classy by educating older adult, staff, and families with proper oral dental hygiene.. Education on proper oral hygiene will be a way of good health and wellness. Without the knowledge of how to care of themselves can lead to bad health. Jean had the chance to show a proper brushing demonstration. For Dorothy who took care of her family as a housewife, giving her something familiar and meaningful to do like gardening and cooking for proper nutrition, and active participation on hobbies and interest would bring up memories of significant life events. Doing art works or craft provides a creative outlet to make something, so it provides a purpose and a task for active seniors. It helps our older adult to feel happily occupied and successful at an activity they enjoy and feel proud of their accomplishments.
