Tell us what you did during Active Aging Week to redefine the term "Active."

Over 4,000 older adults walked into the 111years old Redhouse Theatre for the Active Aging Week. Redhouse area has revived recently and becomes the most popular area for young generation. However, it was used to be very popular when today’s older adults were in adolescence. Coincidentally, both generations have good memory of the same site. The older adults crowd reentering to this area created generational glory and culture exchange. The programs include Real Life Monopoly interactive drama, the interactive exhibition, muscle training workshops, nutrition workshops, and forums. All are specially tailored for older adults. Here are some feedbacks from the participants, Participant A: The event is a stage play combined with the Monopoly game. I believe that everyone has played Monopoly games when they were young. Today, it reminded me the good memories of childhood and the effect of entertaining. The deepest feeling today is that I feel that when we reach to certain age, we shall keep the curiosity mind, which could make us feel young and active. Participant B: I learn how to improve my diet and lifestyle, and how to get along with the younger generation. This is very important and I got lots of rewards! Participant C: The most impressive part of it is to practice into action and live in the present. If you have a dream, you shall try to accomplish it, and enjoy every moment of the life.
