Tell us what you did during Active Aging Week to redefine the term "Active."
Our everyday offerings encompass programming for the seven dimensions of wellness on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. We utilize Active Aging Week as the opportunity to highlight a specific dimension with an activity followed by a healthy refreshment. These programs are offered at 2:00 p.m. daily in the auditorium for consistency. We find that this week provides a significant increase in participation that extends about six months, so if is a nice jump start for the new year and fulfills resolutions as well. Our week included a "Wildlife of Southern Africa" photo presentation, Dancing Brush with Sumi-e, Boxing for Seniors, Chair Volleyball, Celebration of Life Musical Program, Humor & Clowning Around, and a Musical Yogurt Bar.
