Active Aging Week generates coverage of its positive message of aging and active living in traditional media and on social media. In this section, you can read highlights from some campaign stories in the news.
Along with 180 broadcast features on the week’s events, more than 483 articles appeared in the press in the United States and Canada during Active Aging Week 2015, driving 151 million media impressions, according to a media tracking service.
Robust efforts also spread the message on Facebook sites and through Twitter. In the US, those tweeting about Active Aging Week included the US Surgeon General, National Institute on Aging’s Go4Life campaign and the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition, among others.
